Fifty thousand soldiers died at Gettysburg, the largest and most horrific battle of the Civil War. Many of those combatants were teenagers, some no more than twelve years of age, torn from their homes amidst the turmoil of rebellion and swept along by events beyond their control, suffering devastating wounds, torturous conditions, and dying by the thousands.

These men long to have their stories heard, to know they are not forgotten, a mere footnote in the larger tale of America's internal war. And they can be heard, calling out in the silvery moonlight of Devil's Den, crying out in pain and terror at Kuhn's Brickyard, and whispering ghostly messages to frightened travelers at historic taverns.
