Aprašymas

Living at the beach while preparing for war, Graham is stationed at San Diego's Navy Fighter Weapons School in the real Top Gun, and chronicles his private and professional life as a personnel manager assigned to Fighter Squadron One (VF-1), best known in the fleet as the World Famous Fighting Wolfpack -- a legendary squadron. Graham deploys with VF-1 aboard USS Ranger (CV-61) and observes relationships as tension builds, both sexually and militarily, until Ranger slides into hostilities at DEFCON ONE, commencing Operation Desert Storm -- The Gulf War.

Graham chronicles daily battles between sailors built on sexual tensions in close quarters, and exposes the bigotry that led to the Clinton "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy on gays in the military. With just 2 weeks left in his contract and signed orders for duty in Florida and Hawaii, Graham left the Navy in order to publish this book.

An earlier version of this book, Military Secret, catalogued at the Naval War College, Naval Academy, and Harvard University.
