Granny's Legacy honors Dorothy Helen (Hall) Stauffacher. She showed her hospitality by sharing food, friendship and love with others. For the majority of her adult life, she lived in Monroe, Wisconsin where she and Victor Stauffacher raised their family. She was a woman ahead of her time and an inspiration to many. Early in her marriage she fixed meals for the men as they went from farm to farm to accomplish the all work. Later in life, she shared her hospitality and love of food with her ever-increasing family. One Grandson's wife said, "One could not become part of this family without learning and enjoying to cook." This cookbook is compiled from the recipes in Dorothy's recipe boxes. It provides insight into the range of cooking done in her lifetime.
