With the growth of development processes (when left unmanaged), the environmental condition deteriorates aggressively. This poses a great threat to sustainable development, human society and to the natural world. The policy of economic development without sound environment is short-lived. But, issue is quite contradictory, and will be discussed in detail in the following volumes of the book. The modern development brings many improvements in the quality of life in this tiny nation and at the same time it invites some negative impacts to the environment, which is considered as one of the top priorities in country's development agenda. The process of globalization has been an integral part of the recent economic progress. Economic globalisation also has less explicit implications for climate change and resource depletion.
