There are many stories and reminiscences about theT. Frank and Mary Ellen Scott Hicks family of Wayne County, North Carolina. These stories have been handed down and remembered by the third generation or The Hicks Cousins, as we call ourselves.

Mama Ellen and Papa Frank raised eight children, five boys and three girls, in the Mount Carmel community. They were all hard-working, Christian people. The children of these eight have shared their stories and memories so future generations will have them and know a little of what went on along that little dirt road in Wayne County, North Carolina.
