Part one in the chronicles of growing up in a small California town during the mid-90s. A tale based on a true story of three best friends growing up while leaving their childhood behind. Mike's family in the dysfunctional home in the neighborhood. He tries to grapple with getting old but trying to stay a kid a little bit longer. Matt's family is the definition to the dying family values in the decade. Their moral compass contain conservative Christian beliefs and will guide them through any rough sea. But Matt comes to question and challenge those ideals. When middle school brings them to the brink they have to learn to survive and learn new lessons along the way.
