This book analyses the economic growth and technological development among rural women. In this context, this work was carried out to comprehend the transformation in gender relations with particular reference to the impact of socio-economic policies of the Government of Tamil Nadu, throwing light on the deterrents that stall the process of women empowerment. Indicators, indices and variables pertaining to the transformation of gender relations are tabulated to analyse the interpretations.
