Aprašymas
I was not convinced living the gay lifestyle was wrong until my encounter with Jesus, when He found me crying in the woods, drunk, having just been beaten up by my girlfriend, and homeless.
I had hit rock bottom when Jesus came to me that day and told me to get out of the woods. I heard Him, but I continued to cry with the screams of a lost sheep. Jesus told me again to get out of the woods. I finally realized at that very moment that no one was going to love me, and I had better start loving myself or I was going to die out here! Paul, who killed Christians, had an encounter with Jesus on the Damascus Road, and his eyes were opened; the miry clay fell from his eyes to the truth that what he had been doing was wrong. When I crawled out of the woods that day, the miry clay fell from my eyes instantly, and I knew that everything I had been doing was wrong. I immediately left behind homosexuality, drunkenness, and suicidal ideation. This was my Damascus Road encounter with Jesus! I was looking for love in all the wrong places, and I knew in my heart that I needed help, but the only way to get better was to face the many reasons I was living the homosexual lifestyle, and the drug and alcohol abuse that left me spiritually bankrupt! I was running from all the pain, rejection, and abuse I had endured as a child-physically, mentally, emotionally, and sexually.
Gay Tomboy Transformed into God's Little Girl tells Sonia's story of how the devil stole her identity at a very young age, having her believe she should have been born a boy. She remembers crying one morning before church because she did not want to wear a dress; she wanted to wear the suit and tie her brother was wearing. Sonia was twelve years old at the time, living in an orphanage, and by this time, she had been molested four different times by four different men. The deep-seated wounds were already planted that she did not want any attention from men. Sonia had also lost her mom and dad to their drug and alcohol abuse, and she was walking around with an orphaned and broken heart. She was so confused and lost by all the disappointments life was offering. Sonia lost that mother-daughter bond at seven years old when the state of Georgia put her in the back of a cop car, where she was taken to a foster home and molested by an older foster brother for the next two years. Not only did she not trust men, but she had been searching for Mommy, and this deadly combination led her to walk the "wide path" of self-destruction!
