How many times have you said to your mate or to a friend that: "Company is coming and I have no idea what to serve before dinner." Clam dip and potato chips (even though it is in this cookbook and is quite tasty) is not an option that would go down well, except perhaps, in a college dorm. So be a little creative, and try a few of the recipes that sound like they would work for you and your guests. Of course, they also taste just fine for a "party" of one or two.
