Hultquist earned a B.A. degree from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, a Master of Divinity degree from Northwestern Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, and is currently serving as pastor of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Eugene, Oregon. He and his wife, Anna, are the parents of three teenage children.
