The late 1960s and early 1970s spawned a counterculture movement - for peace, against war and violence and in celebration generally of chilling out and often dropping out of society. It became known as 'flower power' and associated with slogans such as 'Make Love, Not War'. Flowers were a potent symbol of the movement and expressed on clothing, painted on vehicles such as VW vans, and in art and design more generally.

The images in this colouring book aim to reflect the feeling of the era both in terms of the style of the designs and their content.
