Finding Persephone follows Timaeus Tuzurias, the last fire slayer of an alien brotherhood, as he travels to North America to participate in the creation of the next genetic leap in Lyostian evolution: a generation specifically designed to save the planet from human destruction. With a new name and designation as Dr. Grant Gates, geneticist and physician, Timaeus believes he is finally free of the murderous legacy of the fire slayers. His new identity, however, does not come without additional responsibility; he must protect the colony's secret mission at all costs.

During the day, Dr. Grant Gates and his brothers operate GatesWay, a popular women's health spa, but spend their nights planning an alien apocalypse. Plans change when Grant meets Caroline, a woman with secrets of her own. Smitten, Grant knows there is more to love than just finding the Persephone he has sought all his life and attempts to recreate himself from the assassin he has become to a man worthy of her trust. When Caroline is faced with a life of recrimination and regret, Grant grasps at the opportunity to care for her and invites her to live in his underground sanctuary.
