I was sitting in the faculty lunch room listening to an intense blend of social talk and intense professional problem solving. For some reason I seemed detached from the group. They were inclusive and friendly toward me; however, for some reason I felt like a stranger in a strange culture. I had turned in my retirement paper a week previously and now I realized that I was starting to slip away.
