Aprašymas

Revel in a riotously messy coming-of-age tale of failing at rites (and wrongs) of passage in 1960s London.

Yes, she had to escape suburban Australia: but bohemian London isn't what she'd dreamed of either.

She's had enough of practicing her seductive Virgin Goddess expression. And falling for the mating-calls of Great Men while drunk and Gothic at parties.

But when she does marry and becomes pregnant, his drinking is as delirious as his loving - and his leaving.

Suddenly, being run over by the lawnmower is supremely tempting. But eventually she stops thinking about revenge. She will not fall.

Welcome to Jill Neville's tragicomic chronicle of an un-heroine-like life of doomed jubilation.
