This edition of the Greek text with English commentary of Euripides' "Cyclops," the earliest extant post-Homeric work of Ancient Greek Cyclops-themed literature, is the companion volume to "Ancient Greek Cyclops Tales." In addition to providing students with an introduction to Euripides' unusual dramatic work, the only surviving specimen of its genre (the satyr play), this commentary offers extensive grammatical and lexical assistance, with notes focusing on the drama's fifth-century Athenian cultural context as well as the thematic and intertextual connections with its source, "Odyssey" 9.105-566.
