Who would have thought you could play classical music on a ukulele? But you can! Here are compositions from the late 19th to the early 20th century by one of the most famous composers of the era, Eric Satie. Satie's music represents the first definite break with 19th-century French Romanticism where he combined the simple, tuneful melodies of Parisian nightlife with the snappiness of American Jazz, Satie created a new style of musical burlesque that made a lasting impression on many contemporary composers. These pieces have been transcribed for the Low G ukulele and are intended for performers with at least intermediate skill levels. Have fun! Recommended for Intermediate and Advanced Performers
