Christians battle against rulers and authorities, the powerful evil forces of fallen angels headed by Satan, a vicious fighter (1 Pet. 5:8). To withstand these attacks, believers must pray in the Spirit. They must depend on God's strength and use every piece of His armor. Spiritual warfare can be overwhelming. It is important to understand the nature of spiritual warfare and the reality of human existence in order to be able to understand oneself as an individual and as a Christian.
