INTRODUCTION

E-learning is identified with the systematic process of design,

development, and delivery of learning interventions using various Information

and Communication Technologies (ICT). It is gaining more and more

important nowadays as it enables learners a flexible and convenient way of

learning. The learners‟ physical presence in a classroom is not required during

e-learning and this helps working professionals in continuous learning without

upsetting their personal and professional life. The course content can be

organized in a nonlinear manner and modularized for selective learning of

contextual knowledge. Study materials can be enriched by various multimedia

components to create/retain a sustained interest in learning as well as to speed

up the learning process.
