Welcome back to a day in the life of Maddie Andrews - it could be her last.

A life half-lived is a life unlived - that's what the endless stream of influencers on 17-year-old Maddie's phone insist anyway. To gain more online popularity and fill the gap her parents left when they disappeared on their own adventure ten months ago, she decides to drag her best friend, Imogen, on a trip to film content. Since she can't afford to visit the exotic locations that get the most likes, she settles on the next best thing - an isolated bothy in the Scottish Highlands.

But the wilderness bothy isn't the dreamy utopia Maddie had pictured. It's a one-bedroom shack full of bunk beds and bedbugs, and she certainly didn't come here to get caught up in a couple's feud, have her best friend stolen, or be dragged into bizarre efforts to prove that the bothy is haunted.

But when Maddie decides it's finally time to leave, she realises there's no way out - the only phoneline has been cut, and they're miles away from civilisation. And when she stumbles across the freshly dead body of one of the guests, she realises she'd been right to suspect the other guests might have secrets. But she'd never dreamt they'd be willing to kill to protect them.
