My name is Jon Bellows, and this is my first children's book. The inspiration for this story came from one of my best friends, Dr. Remington.

Remington was born on December 19, 2019, and has been a faithful companion and a special member of our family ever since. He has been by my side through everyday adventures, quiet evenings at home, and countless family memories. If you know Remington, you know he has a big personality and a way of making everyone smile.

You might be wondering why I call him Dr. Remington. A few years ago, my wife and I started watching a medical television series. Night after night, Remington faithfully sat with us and watched every episode from beginning to end. After showing that much dedication, I decided he had earned his medical credentials. Since then, he has proudly been known as Dr. Remington.

The idea for this book began with my desire for everyone to have the pleasure of knowing Dr. Remington. My wife is an elementary school teacher, and listening to her stories about her students, her work with children, and seeing how much they enjoy stories inspired me to create one of my own. I wanted to write a book that children would enjoy, and I knew the perfect main character was already sitting right beside me-Dr. Remington

Writing this book has been a fun and meaningful experience. It combines two things that are very important to me: family and Dr. Remington. My hope is that this story encourages children to use their imagination, enjoy reading, and remember that some of the best adventures can begin with a faithful friend.
