The day Egghead (as he is better known to his classmates) got his bachelor's degree and the day he witnessed his childhood bro, Curly, win in the World Athletics Championship, were happy days.

Egghead and Curly's parents have no idea how the boys can succeed in the traditional education value system. They put them like two grains of sand in the national sports system, the most barren sport in China - track and field, wishing they develop at least a good body.

Egghead's mind is fresh and restless as a puppy who is wandering in unknown territory. His eyes are wide open full of pure expectation, uneasiness and worry, excitement and happiness.

Using his vivid imagination to construct his own view of the world, he comes to realize that real life doesn't end up as perfect as in fairy tales. It is enticing to observe his steps through random instances and experiences of his school and university life. He mischievously scrutinizes the characters in his circle, his family, friends, teachers, coaches. The small world around him is growing up, so is he.
