We are living in a period of almost perfect means, but with confused ends. The lack of planned and proper goals of life are so obvious that proof need not be offered. Live, for many, has become a "rat race" without knowing just where the finish line is to be found. Rushing, rushing, but going nowhere! The home has not escaped this rush of uncertainty and instability. Many parents do not understand nor do they appear to be too concerned about their children. Love, understanding, and respect are rare ingredients in just too many homes. This is, of course, the opposite of what God would have it be. Parents need to know that children are gifts of God (Gen. 33:5; 48:9). God has charged parents with the responsibility of molding these gifts into a certain type of personality, suitable to Him (Eph. 6:4; Col.3:21). This book is planned in an effort to assist parents to that end. UNDERSTANDING is the main thesis of this work.
