From the cult-favorite comics artist CF, a book of never-before-collected comics and illustrations of startling imagination and color, many of them drawn on incidental materials such as scrap paper and sticky notes.

Christopher Forgues (better known as CF) roared into the indie comics scene in the early 2000s, producing some of the most exciting work of the decade. His output was startlingly original and impressively prolific: Paper Radio, his collaboration with Ben Jones; his multi-part epic Powr Mastrs; and the many zines and comics that he composed on the likes of xeroxed sheets, scraps of paper, and even receipt paper. These shorter and smaller works, never collected until now, capture the full scope of CF's imagination.

Pulling from pulp, sci-fi, gag cartoons, fantasy, and thrillers, and populated by goblins, astronauts, and talking owls, CF's comics break apart genres and narratives, reassembling them into one-of-a-kind stories that reveal an immense imagination and boundary-pushing talent.

Fellow cartoonist Sammy Harkham has brought together the best of this body of CF's work into a collection, Distant Ruptures. The book includes an introduction by Gabriel Winslow-Yost as well as an interview with CF. Distant Ruptures offers readers their first chance to see the full scope of this remarkable era of CF's comics.
