It is a wondrous thing to be allowed to follow a life-long dream that had been all but abandoned to the march of time. When my friends Pete and Sheri who make their home in Montana but have close ties to Nepal told me it was possible for me to do the trip described in this travelogue, I was overwhelmed. I knew there would be risks. Would I be able to pull it off? Still ... to see the Himalayas! I knew that I had to do it. We planned the trip for April 2014, the same year I turn 75. Good luck was on my side: my lifelong dream would be fulfilled one year before a devastating earthquake would rock the country and make such a journey no longer possible. It really was "the trip of a lifetime." This 100 page story of a trip to Nepal include 28 pages of full color photos taken by the author.
