The Word of God says that we are not to be hearers of the Word only, but doers of the Word. This is to say that we have to obey the Word of God. But how are we to obey the Word of God - reluctantly, casually, or committedly? The Word answers the question, when it says, "Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the Voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His Commandments which I command you, that the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth" (Jas 1:22; Deut. 28:1). We are to obey the Word of God diligently, carefully, committedly, and consistently, whether or not it seems difficult. God rewards obedience and punishes disobedience.
