Diligence is a story about a young black boy, Lamont, and his rise from poverty to prosperity. His story reveals how his father saved him from the generational cycle and trap of poverty by the desperate pursuit of worthless materialistic possessions, like expensive tennis shoes. Instead, his father teaches him how to start investing one hundred dollars a month from his tennis shoe budget, at thirteen years of age. Leading him to become a multi-millionaire by the age of 35. Diligence highlights the importance of a father's presence and guidance in a young boy's life, regarding breaking the cycle of poverty and building generational wealth and prosperity.
