Due to childhood trauma, Kay finds herself on the streets in her twenties. Unable to get a job and with a drug addiction, she becomes a streetwalker.

At first the lifestyle works and gives a feeling of being in control. But then Kay loses her regular clients and ends up doing work she swore she would never do. She is gang raped, shaken down by police and dosed with PCP at a Mafia party. Her alcohol and drug use spiral out of control.
