I began collecting recipes while watching my Mom preparing meals. She allowed me to help but only allowed me to watch most of the time. When she made cakes, we were all there to lick off the spoon and bowl. There were six of us kids but most times, we all got to taste. As the years went by, she allowed me to participate more and more. By the time I was in high school, my sisters and I cooked most of the meals and became good cooks. We each had our favorite recipes and used them constantly. We still do. I'm a country cook and enjoy the foods I grew up with. Over the years I've added many recipes to my collection but still prefer the old timey ways of preparation although I must admit, Crock Pots are wonderful. Mama's life would have been so much simpler if she'd had one. Go with me now as I walk down my path of delicious memories and share some of my Mom's, sister's, daughter's, and Bob's recipes
