Fondues are one of the simplest types of desserts or appetizers for holiday parties within minutes. If you feel unfamiliar with this type of concoction, the short description is liquid food that you dip other food into.

Fondues can range from savoury cheeses like gouda, goat and blue cheese for dipping bread or crackers to caramel and chocolate for dipping strawberries or pieces of pound cake.

A fondue pot is the primary way you cook your dip or you can prepare it ahead of time in a Dutch oven or saucepan and then keep it in the fondue pot for warming.
