James was a machine tool dealer and machinery auctioneer from coast to coast until retiring in 2006. He was a pilot since 1973, and flew his own plane all over the country. After retiring in 2006 Jim and Pam, his wife, moved to Lakeland, Florida. In 2015 they, along with Pam's mother, Millie Reiberg, moved back to South Carolina.
