Aprašymas

A recurring structural thread runs through the work: Katzenstein returning to the same places and people years or decades later, and photographing them again. The most striking example is a pair of images from the remote Tang Valley of Bhutan: three girls photographed at a high-altitude festival in 1999, and the same three women photographed in the same valley in 2026, when Katzenstein returned after twenty-six years. It is this layering of time and place, of first encounter and reunion, that gives the book its particular character: a body of work less concerned with the decisive moment than with the longer arc of a life spent looking.
