Daughters of the Cards (el. knyga) (skaityta knyga) | D. T. Eatough | knygos.lt

Aprašymas

Cassie is at Oxford University despite a childhood spent in poverty. Tom seems entitled by birth and is the life and soul of every posh college party. But neither is what they appear. Tom and Cassie forge a dangerous relationship based on their shared secret of wielding the ancient power of the Tarot. Cassie finds a way to change her past so that she can save her little sister from dying of neglect. Tom wants to use it to restore his family titles, confiscated in the 18th Century. For them both, their plans will mean erasing the present day as we know it, and bringing back the age of kings. Only Ella, the Tarot Star, can try to guide them away from the edge of the cliff, but she faces deadly opposition from the dark Tarot Mage in his labyrinth of mirrors... Daughters of the Cards blends time travel, Tarot legends, and historical intrigue, with its dual timelines and layered mythology, moving from the Egypt of the pharaohs to Oxford and London in the present day.
