Aprašymas
A spit is a strip of sand, swept by the waves of the sea and blown by the wind, separating the freshwater Curonian Lagoon from the salty sea. This 100 km long landmass was formed as the Baltic currents eroded the shores of the Semba Peninsula and carried the sand further north. Although there are many spits on Earth, this is one of the largest and most beautiful in the world, with dunes dropping steeply into the lagoon to create spectacular views you won't see anywhere else.
