Aprašymas

This is a story about a man imprisoned, tortured, fined and persecuted by the Castro Regime, but who by relentless persistence and determination was finally able to escape to America. His university degree in mechanical engineering and military training in martial arts were instrumental in making his third attempt at escape successful. Oscar's journey was often painful, sometimes humorous, but he never lost the commitment to his dream. With remarkable optimism and the ability to see beauty in the midst of a difficult situation he tells the story of his adventures and misadventures. This book gives a personal look into daily life in a communist regime, how the people survive and adapt to their situation, inventing ways to overcome obstacles and deprivations.
