He has had a lifelong interest in George MacDonald's writings, having edited several volumes of his sermons. He is also the author of George MacDonald: Victorian Mythmaker, a biography based on the letters of MacDonald and his family, The Harmony Within: the Spiritual Vision of George MacDonald, and Christian Mythmakers.
