Written in straight forward language, the textbook has been designed to help students learn by discovering legal concepts and principles through exploration and engagement. The book has been divided into six themes of formation of agreement, consideration, setting the contract aside, void contracts, discharge of contracts, restitution and breach and damages. Each theme has been introduced by giving examples of disputes arising from everyday experiences and their resolution. It further articulates the relevant principles and introduces sections of the Contract Act. In addition, the work also discusses leading judgments of Supreme Court of India. The author has made use of illustrations to make the writing accessible to students and anyone new to the subject.
