This book's insightful discussions of the psalms, canticles, and readings from the Liturgy of the Hours act as spiritual commentaries and contribute to the depth and intensity of "praying" the Hours. In its approach, it draws on the rich spirituality of the Carmelite tradition. A Companion to the Liturgy of the Hours is an inspiring, inexhaustible guide for all Catholics who wish to learn to pray, or to deepen their praying of, the Divine Office or Liturgy of the Hours.
