Dyslexia-Smart: tailored for dyslexic readers but can be read by anyone. In the 1950s three murder trials took place at The Old Bailey in London that had far-reaching effects. The tragic stories of these three people sentenced to be executed for murder are told in a clear, straight-forward way. The factual evidence that was laid before the judge is set out together with police statements and pleas from the defence. There was public disquiet from the start about these convictions, and eventually the law was changed. The book will appeal mainly to adults but teens may also be interested because one case involved two teenage boys, one of whom was hanged.
