This book addresses important issues related to insurance contract fraud. Specifically, some of the most important issues addressed regarding this book are as follows:
- Legal notion of fraud; - The difference between deception and error; - Types of insurance fraud; - Time of filing insurance fraud/error; - Forms of external insurance fraud; - Impact (impact) of insurance fraud; - Prevention of insurance fraud. Since insurance is a legally binding relationship, the treatment and review of these issues in the book is done mainly based on the provisions of the Law on Obligations of North Macedonia. Also, the book presents data obtained from the manifestation of a survey. The survey was conducted with employees of insurance companies, insured persons and insurance representatives. At the end of the book it was concluded that in order to combat fraud effectively, there is a need for more organized engagement alongside artificial intelligence. And the results of the survey show that the most common form of fraud by (insured) clients are false allegations of damage to health or reduction of working capacity.
