This self-care journal is designed to teach you how to care for yourself, love yourself, free yourself from bondage, and be happy.

As I reflect on my own personal journey, I remember how important it was for me to become empowered and build up my own self-confidence. When I ended my marriage of 19 years, I had no idea what to do or how I was going to move forward. I didn't even know how to apply for utilities or cable. My mom was deceased, my sisters and girlfriends were married, and some even lived in other cities, so I really had no one to share my feelings with. Most times it was just me and Jesus.

As a single mother my finances were pretty "funny." My son Demetrius was becoming a teenager and wanted to hang out with his friends and buy things I just couldn't afford. I even had thoughts of going back to my unhappy marriage, BUT I heard God say to me, "I told you that I will never leave nor forsake you." And He also said, "I have never seen His righteous forsaken nor His seed begging for bread." So, I got myself together.
