John Holt was a rodeo champion who went on to become a professor at a major U.S. university. This is the story of how he achieved his dreams. There are three sections in the book. The first tells of the birth, the chasing and achieving of a dream, and then its death. The second section gives some general strategies for chasing dreams and some lessons learned in using them. The final section argues that the best and most general strategy for chasing a dream (and therefore living life to the fullest) is to try and do one's best in all life's pursuits. A payoff for doing so is that the skills learned in chasing one dream are useful in chasing the next.
