In 1920s-era New York City, a young girl from a rags-to-riches family must face a life-altering tragedy which forces her to question everything she ever knew. At 17 years old, it seemed that Jennie Callahan had had everything handed to her: money, a great NYC apartment, and every opportunity. A sudden accident, however, lands her in the hospital clinging to life. In a coma yet still mentally active, Jennie finds her mind wandering to her rural childhood, the pains of her past - and the boy she left behind - for the first time in years.
