Much of it's religious ritual and costume is as well. This book is entertaining as it is insightful by a American collecting folklore as he enjoyed the vibrant culture of the French Canadians. The author is considered one of the few systematic explorers of Canadian folklore - compiled during author's frequent sojourns to the region.
