Poetry offers us a way to empathize with one another and create a bridge, becoming a more connected and caring world. I have included a few poems and photos by others in this book in addition to my own.

Since I am a bird lover, there is a separate section for poems about birds. We can learn much from our feathered friends. Since the earliest times, birds have inspired us with their confidence. We must have faith in our abilities and learn to soar.

Birds come in hundreds of different color variations. We, also, must let our colors shine. Birds flock together. As we navigate this challenging life, we must always keep our friends and our family close by.

One of the most important lessons we can learn from birds is to spread our wings. We must leave the safety of the nest and fearlessly venture out to do whatever God calls us to do.
