Aprašymas
A major biographical study of the contribution of over 340 Armenians to the British War effort during WWI. They served on all major fronts in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East as combatants, intelligence officers, medics and in the merchant navy. While listing 340 names with biographical details, "Britain's Armenians at War 1914-1919" focuses on three servicemen: Zaven "Nooky" Manoukian, Thomas Mugerditchian, and John Haig Arakelian, who served on the Western Front, Egypt, and Mesopotamia, respectively. This study also sheds light on the history of Armenians in the United Kingdom.
