Breast cancer refers to the cancer that develops in the cells of breasts. There are several types of breast cancer such as ductal carcinoma in situ, invasive lobular carcinoma, angiosarcoma, inflammatory breast cancer, lobular carcinoma in situ, recurrent breast cancer and male breast cancer. The symptoms of breast cancer are changes to the skin over breasts, redness or pitting of the skin over breast, a breast lump, a newly inverted nipple, and change in size or appearance of breasts. The diagnosis of breast cancer can be done by breast ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, diagnostic mammogram and biopsy. Ultrasound is a machine that makes use of sound waves to make detailed pictures of areas inside the breast.
