The ravens have fled the Tower of London. The unrest is at an all-time high. In the near future an army rises from unlikely places. But some read the warning signs. George stands over his daughter's empty grave, her death certificate in his hands.

In an England fractured by privatisation, political failure and growing unrest, the masses rise up. Not all resistance brings freedom, and the country descends into a dystopian darkness. It will take a new generation to choose a different way forward. In that darkness, community becomes resistance.

A group of young people set out on a journey to rediscover what England means. Along the way they find new friendships, confront the legacy of those who came before them, and reconcile with people they never imagined that they could forgive. Together, they begin to bring light where there had only been darkness.
