"Blanquita Has a Bad Day," is the story of a little llama named Blanquita and Rosita, her new friend. Rosita is excited about her new pet Blanquita and all the fun things they can do together. Unknowingly to Rosita, llamas have the tendency to spit when they feel uncomfortable.

Although Rosita and Blanquita just met, Rosita helps Blanquita overcome the spitting habit as they become great friends.

Throughout this story, children will recognize many Spanish words and phrases, and with repetition they will develop confidence in reading and speaking a second language. This story was inspired by conversations between students and myself while teaching elementary school Spanish.


"Blanquita Tiene un Mal Día," es la historia de una llamita cuyo nombre es Blanquita y Rosita, su nueva amiguita. Rosita está emocionada por su nueva mascota Blanquita y todas las cosas divertidas que pueden hacer juntas.

Desafortunadamente, Rosita no sabe sobre la tendencia de escupir que tienen las llamas. Pese a que Rosita y Blanquita se conocen poco, Rosita le ayuda a Blanquita a superar el hábito de escupir y se convierten en grandes amigas.

En este libro, los niños reconocerán bastantes palabras y oraciones, y repitiéndolas ellos adquirirán confianza en leer y hablar un segundo idioma. Esta historia fue inspirada por conversaciones con mis estudiantes mientras enseñaba español en las escuelas primarias.
