It focuses on the fact that we could produce renewable energy from biomass without using corn, sugarcane or colza oil, but lignocelluloses, bacteria and algae instead. Furthermore, water or soil pollution can be treated using algae and fungi. This book guides the reader to identifying the local bioresources which could be valorized and chosen for the remediation of a pollution-related problem or a response to an energetic need.
