The artist has labeled each illustration to assist the colorist in 'identifying' the center image and help decide the colors and hues to apply to increase the beauty of the line art.
This book should appeal to all ages and ethnic groups. There are 60 line-art illustrations in this book as well as 26+ samples of line art from the artist's other coloring books, for a total of over 85 images to color. There is also a list of coloring books in the back of the book that provides readers and colorists a 'wish-list' for purchasing the artist's other Big Kid Coloring Books, ranging from line art to gray-scale (photo-based) coloring books.
The book is standard publisher paper (60# weight) and non-perforated paper with glue binding. Colorists can choose to use dry media (crayons or colored pencils) or wet media (markers, gel pens, or paints). (It is advised to use thick blotter paper between pages to avoid bleed onto the next page to complete the beautiful and rich illustrations if the colorist uses markers, paints, or gel pens that bleed through paper.)
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Dawn D. Boyer, Ph.D. has been drawing since she was 5years old. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University's, Bachelor of Art Program, then later at Radford University, earning her BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration. Over the years, she has developed a distinctive style for her pen and ink illustrations of old barns and houses, as well as Colonial Williamsburg architectural portraiture. This is used to her advantage in creating imaginative illustrations of delightful fairy houses and fairy doors, fantasy illustrations, and adult coloring books.
She is the author of 730+ books on the topics of business, career search practices, women and gender studies, quotes, genealogy, and 99+ coloring books for adults.
